Select a database with the menu command, Options –Scenery-Open.” There I hit F9 and I get another pop-up panel stating: “To use the program you must first open a scenery database. With that, the sim continues to load normally and I eventually get to the main flight screen. I’m asked if I want to load the software and I click “yes” I started up FS9 and a pop-up panel appeared which stated: “Flight sim has detected potentially incompatible aircraft or software”- File: Fsnav.dll. Thinking that maybe my original FSN 3 was somehowĬorrupt, I went to a site called Simviation and downloadedĪfter that I downloaded two files named, Fs2k and fs2k.001 and pasted those in the FSNavigator folder. That should do it, it did for me half an hour ago! maximize FS and press ctrl-F9 to bring the FSNav map to the front. The world map instantly populates with all of the navigation points, airports etc. In the Options menu in FSNav, click Scenery Open, select FS2K World (it's the only option) and press OK. the system may appear to have frozen, but it's because FSNav has thrown up a dialogue box saying that you need to activate a database for the programme to work. start FS and when in flying mode, press F9 to activate FSNav. The database fs2k.000 and fs2k.001 files go in the 'FSNavigator' folder which is inside 'modules'. By coincidence, I have just today set up FS9 on a new faster-than-light desktop (wow! But that's another story) and installed FSNav3 as part of my normal installation process. Sorry you can't get it to work, but it's worth hanging in there.
